Membership of the Society of Australian Systematic Biologists
- The Society of Australian Systematic Biologists is for people who are committed to using the science of biological systematics as a basis for the study and understanding of nature. The Society aims to represent the activities of all systematic and evolutionary biologists in Australia.
- The Society's activities include:- lobbying government agencies and granting agencies for improved funding and training; fostering the training of systematists; and holding meetings that deal with general scientific issues.
- Membership of the Society is open to all of those people who are interested in biological systematics, particularly as it relates to the Australasian region.
- There are currently no explicit membership requirements. All communication within the Society is via email, and the Society also maintains a World Wide Web Home Page.
